Day 1: Arrive Darwin
Be welcomed on arrival to Darwin. Enjoy a tour of the city, with a visit to the lush Botanic Gardens and Fannie Bay. Tonight, enjoy a Welcome Dinner. Overnight: Darwin, Novotel Atrium Hotel (D)
Day 2: Adelaide River & Katherine Gorge Dinner Cruise
Adelaide River was the headquarters of a large army base during World War II. Today we travel to Adelaide River to pay our respects at Australia’s only War Cemetery. Then we head into Nitmiluk National Park for a dinner cruise along Katherine Gorge with commentary along the way. Continue to Katherine. Overnight: Katherine, Knotts Crossing Resort (B,D)
Day 3: Ord River Wildlife Cruise, Lake Argyle & Kununurra
Cross the border into Western Australia and enter the Kimberley region. At Lake Argyle, cruise along the Ord River through Carlton Gorge. Be sure not to miss this experience as it is considered to be one of the best cruises in Australia. Overnight: Kununurra, All Seasons Hotel for 2 nights (B,D)
Day 4: Kununurra Tour
The Kimberley consists of just three towns with a population of around 2,000 people. Kununurra, one of these towns, is known as “Big Water” by the local Aboriginal community. Spend the morning at leisure before a guided tour of the town and discover the history of this isolated municipality. (B)
Day 5: Wyndham, El Questro Station
Travel to Wyndham, Western Australia’s most northerly port. Enjoy breathtaking 360° views from Five Rivers Lookout. Travel to the heart of the Kimberley and visit El Questro Station, a working cattle station. Overnight: El Questro, Emma Gorge Resort for 2 nights (B,D)
Day 6: El Questro, Freedom of Choice Touring
Today, you choose your activity and we’ll include it! Perhaps take a guided horse ride around El Questro Station, join the History and Bush tucker Tour or cruise Chamberlain Gorge. Then journey to Zebedee Springs to soak in the hot natural pools and later, the energetic may walk to Emma Gorge to view the stunning droplet waterfall. Take the opportunity tonight to relax, drink in hand, and watch the sun set over the Cockburn Range. (B,D)
Day 7: Lirrgarn Argyle Diamond Mine
Tour the Argyle Diamond Mine, responsible for onethird of the world’s supply. Marvel at the rare pink diamonds on display. Continue onto Halls Creek, just north of the arid Great Sandy Desert. Overnight: Halls Creek, Kimberley Hotel (B,L,D)
Day 8: Geikie Gorge Cruise
Cruise the mighty Fitzroy River between the two-tone cliffs of Geikie Gorge, formed by the waters of the river tunneling through the Napier Range. Explore the area with a local ranger and watch for the freshwater crocodiles, sawfish and unique birdlife that inhabit the region. Overnight: Fitzroy Crossing, Fitzroy River Lodge (B,D)
Day 9: Windjana Gorge—Broome
View ancient marine fossils in the limestone walls of Windjana Gorge, which was part of a coral reef during the Devonian Age. This area is regarded as an important world geology site and a great freshwater crocodile spotting location. In Broome, enjoy the evening to relax at the resort, with Cable Beach at your doorstep, which is renowned for its spectacular sunsets and azure waters. Day 10: Broome, Freedom of Choice Touring, Ocean Sunset & Dine Around Dinner
Today have the opportunity to explore Broome. Choose between a hovercraft flight over the Roebuck Bay mudflats, a tour of the Pearl Lugger museum or a popular camel ride on Cable Beach. Enjoy the sunset over magnificent Cable Beach with your friends before a delicious Dine Around Dinner, where you choose the restaurant and we’ll include it. (B,D)
Day 11: Depart Broome
Enjoy a leisurely morning before your transfer to the airport to connect with flight. (B)
