Note: An AUD$25 National Park Entry Fee is payable direct on entry into the Park. This will allow multiple entries to the park for 3 consecutive days.


ULURU SUNRISE, CLIMB & BASE TOUR

Early this morning, travel to the Uluru sunrise viewing area. Watch the first rays of dawn set the Red Center alight, with a cup of tea or coffee. Climb Uluru to witness spectacular panoramic views, or stroll along the Mala Walk, winding among the trees alongside Uluru to the magnificent Kantju Gorge. Join your guide for a tour around the base of Uluru and Mutitjulu Waterhole to view Aboriginal rock paintings and learn about the area’s flora and fauna. Visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Center, to learn about Aboriginal culture and see Aboriginal arts and crafts.

Departs 90 minutes prior to sunrise and returns approximately 12 noon.

Sounds of SilenceSOUNDS OF SILENCE

Tonight, experience the romance of the desert, the setting of the sun behind the domes of Kata Tjuta and Uluru, the haunting sounds of a didgeridoo, sumptuous outback fare and the star-filled heavens. Shortly before sundown, you will be driven to a special location in the desert where you will enjoy sparkling wine and canapés and witness a spectacular sunset. After a feast including barramundi, kangaroo, emu, crocodile, bush salads and Australian desserts, your resident astronomer will point out constellations in the vast skies of the outback. Tour is 4 hours and departs daily 1 hour prior to sunset.

DESERT AWAKENINGS

Travel away from the crowds to a secluded sand dune to watch the spectacular sight of sunrise over Uluru and Kata Tjuta and enjoy a light breakfast around the fire as your guide explains the retreating star-scape above. Next stop is Uluru- Kata Tjuta National Park and the Cultural Center, where the ancient lore of local Anangu (Aboriginal people) is explained. A visit to Mutitjulu waterhole in the shadow of Uluru will help you appreciate its cathedral-like proportions and why it is such a powerful and spiritual place.

Tour is 5 hours and departs daily.

ABORIGINAL ULURU TOUR & BREAKFAST

Beginning with sunrise, enjoy a short tour of the base of Uluru and breakfast with a panoramic view of Uluru. After breakfast, join an Aboriginal guide for the famous Liru Walk, learning the meaning and history of the area. Retrace the path of the Liru ancestors; see demonstrations of ancient bush skills, including spear holding and starting a fire. Hotel pick-up included. Tour is 5 hours. Departs daily one hour prior to sunrise.

OLGAS, VALLEY OF THE WINDS WALK, SUNSET & BARBEQUE

Be escorted on a 2-3 hour walk through the Kata Tjuta domes to the Valley of the Winds Lookout. Take in the magnificent outback sunset. Enjoy a glass of sparkling wine and a delicious Australian barbecue dinner. There is time for stargazing (weather permitting). Departs 2:15pm (Apr-Sep) and 3:00pm (Oct-Mar) daily.

Note: During the hotter months of the year, Valley of the Winds lookout may not be accessible. This will be substituted with the Walpa Gorge Walk. Good level of fitness required.

KUNIYA SUNSET TOURKuniya Sunset Tour

With your Aboriginal guide, visit caves around the base of Uluru. See ancient cave paintings in time-worn ochres. Visit Mutitjulu Waterhole, discover local bush food and hear tales of desert survival. Tour concludes with sunset over Uluru.

Tour is 4 1/2 hours and departs daily. Hotel pick-up included.

TAKE A CAMEL TO SUNRISE

Enjoy a peaceful camel ride along the big red sand dunes in the cool, clear morning air and watch the sun rise over Uluru. Return to the camel depot for billy tea, freshly-made beer bread and a visit to the camel display. Tour is 31/2 hours and departs daily 1 hour prior to sunrise. Hotel pick-up included.
