DAY 1: ARRIVE AUCKLAND

On arrival, be transferred to your Auckland hotel. Spend the rest of the day exploring this distinctive and stylish city that centers around the beautiful harbor and outdoor lifestyle. Overnight: Auckland, Langham Hotel

DAY 2: ARRIVE TAUPO

Transfer by private car to Auckland Airport to connect with your flight to Taupo (own expense). Pick up your rental car and drive to Tongariro Lodge. Spend the evening settling into the lodge on the banks of the Tongariro River. Overnight: Taupo, Tongariro Lodge for 3 nights (B,D)

DAY 3: GUIDED FISHING

Enjoy a half-day of guided fishing, with the choice of fly or boat fishing. For non-fishing partners, enjoy activities including golf, mountain biking and more. Return to the lodge for dinner and an evening at leisure. (B,D)

DAY 4: FISHING OR ACTIVITIES

Keen fly fishers can enjoy a full day of guided fishing in the river (optional, own expense). Non-fishing partners can partake in some of the activities available in the Tongariro National Park. (B,D)

DAY 5: ARRIVE ROTORUA—MAORI CONCERT & HANGI

Depart Tongariro Lodge and drive 11/2 hours to Rotorua, renowned for geothermal activity, including bubbling mud pools and thermal geysers. Enjoy the day at leisure. Tonight, visit a traditional Maori Village for a concert and dinner. Overnight: Rotorua, Millennium Hotel (B,D)

DAY 6: DEPART ROTORUA

Drive to Rotorua Airport to return your rental car and connect with your onward flight (airfare not included). (B)
