DAY 1: ARRIVE ADELAIDE

You will be met on arrival and transferred by private car to your accommodation. Overnight: Adelaide, Oaks Embassy

DAY 2: ADELAIDE—FLINDERS RANGES

Depart Adelaide and travel north to the wine districts of the Clare Valley and the historic mid-north. From here, continue inland and head towards the Flinders Ranges. This area offers spectacular scenery and a taste of what is to greet you further north. You continue your journey towards the first day’s destination—Wilpena Pound Resort. Optional scenic flights are available. Overnight: Flinders Ranges, Wilpena Pound Resort for 2 nights (B,L)

DAY 3: FLINDERS RANGES

Your guide will take you through Bunyeroo and Brachina Gorges, over hills and ridges, with lunch at the outback Prairie Hotel at Parachilna. This region was once an ancient seabed and now carries some of the most important early fossils. The Flinders Ranges are home to a vast number of native animals and birds, which abound among the gum trees and on the steep, ragged slopes of the gorges. The vibrant colors of the rock faces change through the day with the passage of the sun. (B,L)

DAY 4: FLINDERS RANGES—ADELAIDE

After your second night at Wilpena Pound, your return journey takes you through some of the historic towns of the Flinders Ranges. Leaving the high country, you make your way to the coast. The narrow corridor between sea and mountains gives way to the rich farming land that takes you back to Adelaide. (B,L)
