Hunter Valley Tour Resort Activities
DAY 1: ARRIVE SYDNEY—HUNTER VALLEY Transfer on arrival to the Hunter, Australia’s premier wine producing region with over 120 wineries, art galleries and antique stores. Take time to relax before an afternoon tour of the on-site winery and a private wine tasting with the Cellar Master. Dinner is included tonight. Overnight: Hunter Resort, Hunter Room for 2 nights (D) DAY 2: HUNTER VALLEY 7 activities to choose from – included in price. A horse and carriage vineyard tour; a mini-coach tour of the wine country; a horseback riding lesson; horseback riding tour; 9 holes of golf at The Vintage, Greg Norman Golf Course; a Heavenly Hunter massage; or a visit to Hunter Valley Gardens. (B,D) DAY 3: HUNTER VALLEY—SYDNEY Depart for a leisurely drive back to Sydney. Day is at leisure. Overnight: Sydney, InterContinental Sydney, Harbor View Room (B) DAY 4: DEPART SYDNEY After breakfast this morning, you will be met and transferred by private car to the airport to connect with your onward flight (airfare not included). Experience the real Aussie outback, history, culture and wine. Meet the locals, travel through beautiful National Parks, learn of the harsh settlers’ days and convict conditions. Travel through mountain ranges and view sections of the original convict-built Old Great Northern Road. Enjoy morning tea, then travel through the historic Wollombi village and to Mt. View for a panoramic perspective of the Hunter Valley. After lunch, visit some of the Hunter Valley’s famous boutique wineries for a chance to sample wines not available anywhere else.
