Situated in the northern extremity of the Island right on the edge of the forest fairyland of the Nelson lakes national park. Lake Rotoroa Lodge was built in the 1920's incorporating the style of the Victorian era. First restored in the 1980's and again during the winter of 2002 under the ownership of Shackleton International, each of the ten suites combines old-style elegance with modern facilities. The Restaurant features classic "high country" cuisine which has been recognized internationally.
Local Attractions The main attraction is its Proximity to one of the New Zealand's biggest National Parks. An outdoor enthusiasts dream including wilderness walks, white water rafting horse treks, canoeing and boating.
