DAY 1: ARRIVE MELBOURNE

You will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel. Overnight: Melbourne, The Swanston Hotel Grand Mercure for 3 nights

DAY 2: CITY SIGHTS & TRAMCAR DINNER

Explore the sights and grand architecture of Melbourne. See Parliament House, the Shrine of Remembrance and St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Visit Captain Cook’s Cottage (own expense) and see the bustling Queen Victoria Markets, where all of Australia is on sale. Tonight, board the Colonial Tramcar Restaurant—a Victorian era tram converted to a restaurant on wheels. Enjoy a gourmet meal as you wine and dine through Melbourne by night. (B,D)

DAY 3: PHILLIP ISLAND PENGUIN PARADE

Morning at leisure. This afternoon, depart for Phillip Island and the world-famous Penguin Parade. Visit the Koala Conservation Center along the way. (B)

DAY 4: MELBOURNE—GREAT OCEAN ROAD

Travel via Geelong to the the Great Ocean Road, one of the world’s great coastal drives. Tonight, stay in Lorne—a stunning resort community. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure. Overnight: Lorne, Cumberland Resort (B)

DAY 5: GREAT OCEAN ROAD—MELBOURNE

Morning at leisure. Continue along the Great Ocean Road, passing the Twelve Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge and London Bridge. Return to Melbourne at approximately 9:30pm. (B)
