Pen-y-bryn Lodge (est. 1889) is the largest single storied timber dwelling in the South Island boasting richly carved bookcases, fire surrounds, and paneling. Finding your Way Ideally located half way between Christchurch and Queenstown, Oamaru is 3 hours drive from both locales, 1.5 hours from Mt Cook and 1 hour north of Dunedin.

Accommodation Four queen bedded rooms and one dedicated twin, each with modern ensuite. Spacious Drawing Room, Dining Room, Library, Billiard Room, verandahs and the outdoor patios and gardens.

Local Attractions Both Yellow Eyed and Little Blue Penguins parade each evening less than 5 minutes from the Lodge. Salmon and trout fishing can be arranged with expert local guides. Ancient Maori Rock Art, Fossil Trails, Ecological and Geological tours, Moeraki Boulders, Golf courses, and scenic flights to Mt Cook and Mt Aspiring region are just some of the attractions available.
