DAY 1 : ARRIVE ADELAIDE
You will be met and transferred to your hotel by private car. Enjoy time at leisure in Adelaide. Overnight: Adelaide, InterContinental Hotel for 2 nights
DAY 2 : DELUXE MCLAREN VALE TOUR
McLaren Vale is one of Australia’s renowned wine regions, with over 76 cellar doors that produce some of the best wines of the world. Travel to the Fleurieu Peninsula you will tasting wine from some of the regions finest winemakers as well as sample local produce and cheeses. (B,L)
DAY 3 : BOARD THE GHAN—DEPART ADELAIDE
Your private car transfer awaits to take you to the train station to board The Ghan at 11:20am for a 12:20 pm departure. The Ghan will take y ou thr ough ancient mountain ranges, over the red-baked earth of the Simpson Desert, and past oceans of sandhills. You will travel under the brilliant outback sunset. DAY 4 : THE GHAN—ALICE SPRINGS
Arrive in Alice Springs, Australia’s most famous outback town, in the early afternoon. Perhaps take an optional off-train tour (own expense)—a great way to make the most of your Alice Springs stop. (B,L,D)
DAY 5: KATHERINE—DARWIN
Arrive in Katherine, often referred to as the “Lady of the North” and the “Jewel of the Territory” and take an optional 2-hour boat cruise or helicopter tour to experience the spectacular grandeur of the 25 million y ear old cany ons of Katherine Gorge. This afternoon start on the last leg of this fascinating journey on to Darwin. Transfer by private car to your hotel. Overnight: Darwin, SkyCity Hotel (B,L)
DAY 6: DEPART DARWIN
Today you will be transferred by private car to the airport for your onward flight. (B)
