"In order to save $24, you'll spend four hours, at the very least, tracking down all these prices. True, on your own you are free to choose your own flight times or other hotels, but there are times when you can get so caught up in the "hardware" of a trip that you can lose sight of its purpose. Deciding between the flight at 11 or the one at 12, wondering whether to book the hotel on this corner or the one on that corner--making these choices yourself may give you the illusion of control, but they won't make a significant difference in how you experience your trip unless you move to a higher price category. If I were taking this trip, I'd trust the travel experts at Qantas Vacations to do their jobs and spend my planning time on the fun stuff."
